  • The Warehouse Supervisor contributes to the success of the warehouse department by supervising the day-to-day warehouse operations. Responsibilities include coordinating the receiving, shipping, and material handling responsibilities in the warehouse; and focuses on cost efficiencies, continuous improvement, quality and safety for the business unit across one shift. Essential Responsibilities: • Responsible for the direction, coordination and evaluation of the warehouse operations. • Ensures proper execution and compliance with the operational procedures pertaining to picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory management. • Trains and evaluates warehouse staff on effective inventory techniques and daily tasks. • Assists and maintains appropriate inventory levels and product loss control. • Schedules and manages warehouse team members within labor and budget while meeting the demands of the facility. • Ensures compliance with safety codes, policies, and procedures of the Company and standards established by Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA). • Adequately analyzes outgoing shipments and staffing to ensure on-time delivery of loads. • Tracks employee productivity as a means to continuously improve performance and decrease labor cost. • Adapts and develops plans to quickly respond to volume surges or declines in order to meet customer needs. • Manages warehouse staffing levels to meet receiving and loading efficiency goals. • Responsible for the review and approval of employee timesheets and for ensuring that employees are recording their time in accordance with Company policies. • Staffs warehouse to ensure safe and efficient pick and load activities. • Monitors safety training to ensure all personnel receive up-to-date safety training and that all company and OSHA safety requirements are followed. • Builds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front-line hourly personnel. • Develops team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals. • Communicates and collaborates cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues. • Motivates the team members to achieve company goals. • Works with Warehouse Manager to identify continuous improvement opportunities, develop teams, and implement improvement objectives. • Troubleshoots all receiving and shipping complaints to find the cause, help resolve the issue, and prevent reoccurrence. • Manages the loading and unloading of trailers and Logs all inbound brewery loads. • Manages the warehouse and breakage personnel to ensure all quality guidelines are being followed. • Communicates daily with Warehouse Manager. • Performs other duties as assigned by management. Position Qualifications • Three (3) plus years-experience in distribution center/warehouse logistics industry management • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred • Exceptional customer relations, communications, analytical, and organizational skills • High attention to detail; sound judgment and reasoning skills • Excellent theoretical and practical knowledge in distribution and warehouse management • Supply Chain & Supply Process Knowledge • Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring others • Effective coaching, facilitation, and team building skills • Proficient with computer software, including inventory and warehouse systems; Microsoft suite, etc. • Forklift certified and familiar with other material handling equipment • Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and practices • Valid Driver’s License • Lifting up to 40 lbs. occasionally • Occasional work in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, or rain Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
